| LINDA STOREY ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL (2010 Judicial Race) [no Republican challenger in 2010 primaries] Judge Linda Storey, a lifelong resident of Houston and a fifth-generation native Texan, was elected to preside in Harris County Civil Court-At-Law No. 3 in 2006. In 2010, she will be seeking her second term on the bench. When Judge Storey took over the docket of Civil Court 3, the court had a pending backlog of several thousand cases. Judge Storey has worked tirelessly to reduce that backlog by more than 1,000 cases, as well as to streamline procedures to keep up with new cases filed. A new bankruptcy status docket was created to ensure cases with bankruptcy filings are now managed efficiently and never forgotten or lost in the system.
